EEP Seal Check Indicator

Product overview

Designed to monitor heat-sealer performance on medical paper/plastic packaging. The indicator pattern helps identify incomplete or non-uniform seals and provides space for recording seal-check information.

KRSL-101 is the packaging-control item in the EEP range. Select it when the question is whether the heat-sealing output is visually uniform, rather than whether steam reached an instrument pack. Its recording area belongs with the seal-check record, not a sterilization acceptance label.

Where it fits in your workflow

The seal is a critical part of a medical pouch. This check belongs at the packaging workstation, where staff need to assess the output of a heat sealer before preparing instrument packs. Its purpose is to make visible irregularities easier to recognise and document. It does not measure sterilizer performance.

Practical use guide

Confirm that the test sheet, packaging material and sealing equipment are compatible. Prepare the sealer using its approved settings. Position the sheet and produce the test seal as described in the product instructions. Inspect the entire test area rather than checking only its centre. Repeat checks after relevant adjustments according to your local procedure.

Reading and documenting the result

Look for an even test pattern and investigate interruptions or inconsistent areas against the reference supplied with the product. Record the equipment identity, packaging material, settings, date, operator and observation. An abnormal pattern calls for review of the sealing process; a visual result alone does not establish measured seal strength or complete packaging validation.

Practical benefits

The sheet provides a tangible record that can accompany a packaging quality log. Keeping results from successive checks helps staff discuss a problem using the actual observation, rather than relying on a verbal description. Its role is specific: routine visual assessment within a broader packaging quality programme.

Selection questions

Ask which paper/film structure you use, whether the sealer is rotary or impulse, and which inspection method your procedure requires. Do not assume a test for medical paper also works with HDPE or every coated film. Seal appearance, seal strength and leak testing answer different questions.

Questions before ordering

What should I include in a technical enquiry?

Include the exact product name or code, equipment, process, packaging material and intended monitoring task. If you are replacing an existing product, provide its instructions and explain the application rather than requesting equivalence by appearance alone. Krinmed can then identify the relevant model documentation for your evaluation.

Can I use an image as the result reference?

No. Screen colour, lighting and image processing can alter the appearance of an indicator. Read an actual test against the current reference and instructions supplied for that product. Website photographs support identification and presentation; they are not a calibrated colour standard.
