Dry Heat Sterilization Indicator Tape

Adhesive indicator tape for monitoring exposure to dry heat.

Indicator type 1
Roll length 50 m
Width 19 mm
Colour change Light green to brown

For process exposure monitoring. Follow the product instructions; indicator response alone does not establish sterility.

This version is selected for dry-heat processing. Steam exposure is not a substitute for its intended method. Ask for the permitted time and temperature range for this exact tape before using it in a hot-air cycle; the chamber setpoint alone does not define the exposure received by a package.

Where it fits in your workflow

An external indicator tape helps distinguish packages exposed to the intended process from packages that have not yet been processed. Its visible response supports organisation at the packaging and unloading stages. Choose the tape by sterilization method and packaging compatibility, not simply by the colour of its backing.

Practical use guide

Inspect the roll and identify the process marking. Apply it to the intended packaging surface according to the product and wrapping instructions. Keep the indicator region visible and avoid covering essential package identification. Use only the stated process. After the cycle, inspect adhesion and the indicator response before following the normal release workflow.

Reading and documenting the result

Assess the colour against the product-specific reference. Faint, uneven or unexpected responses require review; a monitor photograph or a competitor colour chart is not a suitable acceptance reference. A Type 1 tape indicates exposure, not successful achievement of all critical variables throughout the package.

Practical benefits

The tape combines a visible external process mark with an adhesive format suitable for the stated application. It can simplify separation of processed and unprocessed work when combined with clear storage rules. Its adhesive performance must still be suitable for your actual wrapping material and cycle.

Selection questions

For a sample evaluation, identify the wrapping material and cycle first. Examine handling, adhesion and visibility after the intended process. Do not assume compatibility with all nonwoven wraps, plastic surfaces or sterilizer brands. Select width for the packaging task without treating extra tape as a substitute for a correct wrapping technique.

Questions before ordering

What should I include in a technical enquiry?

Include the exact product name or code, equipment, process, packaging material and intended monitoring task. If you are replacing an existing product, provide its instructions and explain the application rather than requesting equivalence by appearance alone. Krinmed can then identify the relevant model documentation for your evaluation.

Can I use an image as the result reference?

No. Screen colour, lighting and image processing can alter the appearance of an indicator. Read an actual test against the current reference and instructions supplied for that product. Website photographs support identification and presentation; they are not a calibrated colour standard.
